Verdict truly Justified.

 Finally.....

The four convicts in the December 16 Delhi gang rape-murder case were awarded death sentence by the Delhi court. The Court claimed that the gravity of the offence cannot be tolerated. 

"DEATH TO ALL"- Additional Sessions Judge Yogesh Khanna said while delivering the verdict in the Delhi gang rape cum murder case that had evoked nation-wide outrage and compelled the Government to bring in a heavy anti-rape law.

Soon after the verdict came out,the victim's mother expressed satisfaction in the judgement. 

'Besides discussing other offences,i straight away come to section 302 of IPC. This falls under inhuman nature of the convicts and the gravity of the offence cannot be tolerated. Death sentence is given to all the four convicts.-he said.'

The four convicts were Mukesh (26) , Akshay Thakur (28) , Pawan Gupta (19) and Vinay Sharma (20) were charged for several offences,besides murder,gang rape,dacoity,destruction of evidence,conspiracy,kidnapping or abducting in order to murder etc.

Advocate,V.K Anand,who appeared for Mukesh,said that he has regard for the verdict and he will file an appeal in the Delhi High Court.

Special Public Prosecutor,Mr Dayan Krishnan said,'I have done my job and we are happy with the verdict.'

The girl's mother said that no such victim should remain silent and should come forward to launch a complaint.

As soon as the verdict was announced,the people who were waiting outside the court room started clapping.

At last,as an Indian,as a human,I want to sincerely express my personal satisfaction on the verdict.
As Cassandra Clare rightly said ,"The law is hard,but it is the law".

Match fixing and its poor cousin 'spot fixing' are not the sole preserve of cricket.

IPL and cricket have been filled in chat rooms and news bulletins since few weeks. The purpose of this blog is to tell the world that spot/match fixing is not only the part of cricket.

Nikolai Davydenko,twice semifinalist at the French Open and the U.S Open and World no. 4 in 2007 , was suspected to have deployed this tactic in a match against an upstart Argentinean. 

After winning the first set 6-2,Davydenko lost the second set 3-6 and,in the third,he conveniently proclaimed a leg injury and forfeited the match.

Curiously,a $7 million were wagered on a Davydenko defeat. ATP smelt a rat, and made sure the bets were called off.

Last heard,Nikolai was trying to launch a detergent by the name 'Denko Stain Champion'.

Cricket is not clearly the most corrupt game. If one goes by the revelations of Europol,nearly 380 football matches were fixed in Europe in the last decade. Turkey and Germany hold the distinction for the most suspect games.

The incident that takes the cake was conjured up by a Tamilian named Anthony Santia Raj. Santia created a fake National Team claiming to represent Togo and he set up a friendly match versus Bahrain. Togo went down 3-0 to Bahrain. 

Those who bet on Bahrain's victory raked in the moolah.
Meanwhile the real Togo team,on reading a report about the match,raised an alarm. 
As a result,the fakesters were shown the red card and thus ended the saga of free kicks for the fixers.

Neutrino faster than light ??

A fundamental subatomic particle,the neutrino,seems to be capable of travelling faster than the speed of light ( that is ,the speed of a photon through vacuum ). 
Earlier Albert Einstein asserted that the speed of light is a fundamental constant and it is the maximum speed anything can travel. If the new theory is proved right,the basic laws of physics might have to be rewritten.

Neutrinos are electrically neutral particles that have a tiny ( but non-zero ) mass. They interact very weakly with normal matter,making them almost impossible to detect. Tens of billions of neutrinos pass through our finger tip every second. They are created in certain types of radioactive decay,during collisions between atoms and cosmic rays and during nuclear reactions such as those that occur at the heart of the sun. 

 

Neutrinos are considered to be mysterious particles. They have a minuscule mass,no electric charge,and pass through almost every material as though it was not there.
The speed of light in vacuum is 299,792,458 meters per second, and that of neutrino is 299,798,454 meters per second.
